We are proud and excited to begin our Rights Respecting School journey.
Rights Respecting School Award (RRSA) is a programme developed by UNICEF that places children’s rights at the heart of school life. Through RRSA, we help our pupils understand their rights as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), while also learning about the responsibilities that come with those rights. At Simonstone, St Peter's, children are encouraged to develop respect, kindness, fairness and empathy, enabling them to become confident, responsible citizens who can make a positive contribution to their community and the wider world. By embedding children's rights into our Christian Values, curriculum and daily life, we aim to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, heard and empowered to be positive and successful global citizens.
